Mutiny has control of two goldfields in the Omeo region which contain over 70 old workings and several significant old mines. Mutiny’s lead project is the Cassilis Gold Mine in Swifts Creek. This mine ceased operation in 1916 due to technical difficulties and the impact of WW1. Advancements in mining and gold processing technology since that time enable the gold to be mined and processed. With geological test work showing the presence of accessible high-grade gold substantial metallurgical testing was undertaken and using modern processing methods, very encouraging recoveries were obtained.
